£5 million for Adam Idah, do we pay that, or splash out a million or so more on Bojan Miovski?...

According to reports Norwich City would be willing to sell Adam Idah this summer, with a price of £5 million being quoted. The better the Irishman does at Celtic the higher the price rises, we were talking about him being worth £3m when he arrived at Lennoxtown.

The Irishman has been on loan to Celtic since the end of January and he’s had a decent spell despite not being a regular starter. His goal tally of seven goals in 11 appearances makes for impressive reading, with a chunk of those goals contributing massively to us being in the driving seat for the league title.

Adam is clearly a talented player and is still learning the game, but is he worth the £5 million fee? Yes i think he is. He’s a young international, he’s tall strong and athletic and he can play across the front three, and more importantly he can score goals.

Adam has a bright future in the game and £5 million is a reasonable asking price in the current climate.

But there’s also a striker currently playing in our own league who is attracting a great deal of attention, and he’s one that we all know well, and that is Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski. The North Macedonian is a very talented player, and has all the same contributes as the Irishman, but is maybe just a little bit more technically gifted.

He also knows our game, and has a decent record of 24 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Dons this campaign.

So what’s not to like about Miovski? His asking price will be a bit higher than Idah’s with a fee of £6 million or upwards towards £7 million most likely being demanded by the Dons to part with their talisman. And just like Idah’s valuation, it’s a decent fee in this climate.

So Idah or Miovski who would be your choice? Ideally both, but that’s never going to happen. It’s all down to Brendan Rodgers and what the club are willing to spend I suppose.

It also makes you wonder what future at Celtic Korean striker Oh has. He hasn’t featured at all recently in match day squads and could be moved on in the summer as Brendan Rodgers re-shapes his squad with the Champions League in mind.
